Description
This wine is made from Merlot grapes planted by grandfather Carlo way back in 1974. The grapes were harvested by children participating in the "Open Vineyards in Harvest" program and vinified with gentle foot pressing and manual separation of the stems. Fermentation occurred spontaneously in open barriques using only indigenous yeasts and manual punching down. Ruby red in color with purple highlights, it offers notes of red fruit and a vinous, full-bodied, and smooth palate. Served at 18°C, it pairs well with first courses, white meats, and fresh cheeses.
