How it’s made: made from Franconia grapes, pressed directly and fermented at a low temperature, followed by secondary fermentation in the bottle according to the traditional method for making sparkling wines.
Sensory qualities: a deep pink with ruby red highlights. Bouquet opens with fine, elegant floral notes of cyclamen and violet, followed by citrusy sensations recalling juicy grapefruit. Fresh, flavourful and dry on the palate, it is strong and persistent when swallowed, with a round, salty aftertaste.
Food pairings: light first courses, flavourful seafood dishes, white meats of all kinds, and medium-aged cheeses. Serve at 8° in very narrow tulip-shaped glasses.
Allergens: contains sulphites.
Label: this sparkling wine is dedicated to Marialaura, with her talent for finding four-leafed clover: a plant traditionally associated with happiness and good luck. Hence the name Quadrifoglio, meaning four-leafed clover, which illustrator Sarolta Szulyovsky depicts with bunches of grapes and grape leaves.
