Made with Franconia grapes (known as Imberghem in the dialect of Bergamo), gently pressed and fermented in temperature-controlled steel tanks. A bright ruby red in colour, with purple to carmine highlights; very fresh aromas of cherry and strawberry; on the palate, a well-defined stinging acidity is balanced by fruity sweetness; rich in fresh, pleasurable tannins. Ideal served with first courses (such as ravioli or casoncelli with meat filling), white meats and the traditional cured meats of the Bergamo region.

How it’s made: from Franconia grapes (Imberghem in the dialect of Bergamo). Fermented in temperature-controlled steel tanks, left on the skins but not for too long, to obtain just the right colour. The wine is aged in steel tanks until the spring following the harvest before being bottled and sold.
Sensory qualities: an extremely pleasant wine; bright ruby red in colour, with purple to carmine highlights; very fresh aroma of cherry, with subtle hints of strawberry, of clear, inviting simplicity and frankness; on the palate, a stinging well-defined acidity is balanced by fruity sweetness; rich in fresh, pleasurable tannins.
Food pairings: simple dishes not overly rich in flavour, traditional first courses of Lombardy such as ravioli and casoncelli with meat filling, and traditional cured meats of the Bergamo region. Best drunk young, at 12-14°, depending on the time of year.
Label: on the label, illustrator Sarolta Szulyovsky depicts a young winemaker with a dreamy look in his eyes, attentively studying a bunch of grapes at harvest time; behind him is the skyline of the old town of Bergamo. The wine is dedicated to our father Carlo, and to the land of the Bergamo region.
